White fused alumina is produced by melting aluminum oxide powder at high temperatures, resulting in a white material. It is slightly harder than brown fused alumina but slightly less tough. White fused alumina features stable product quality, uniform particle size distribution, low magnetic substance content, high purity, low sodium content, excellent insulation properties, high hardness, and good toughness. When used in refractory materials, it offers the following characteristics: low sodium content, high purity, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, and improved strength and volume stability. Abrasive tools made from it are suitable for grinding high-carbon steel, high-speed steel, quenched steel, and other materials. It can be used as a grinding and polishing material, and also as precision casting sand, spraying material, chemical catalyst carrier, special ceramics, and more.
As a coated abrasive, white fused alumina is a material with extremely strong erosion and grinding performance. Due to its sharp, angular particle structure, it does not clog during grinding, making it suitable for sanding various soft materials, such as wood and plastics. White fused alumina also demonstrates excellent properties in electrostatic applications.
